I have recently bought Tamiya’s 1/32 Bf109 G6 and would ask for some advice. If I dip the canopy in Pledge Floor Care and when dry apply the masking will I ruin the effect i.e.if I press down on the mask firmly to ensure no overspray when I come to remove the mask will the PFC lift up or wrinkle etc?
Also any pointers on where to find PE seat belts as don’t like the look of the Tamiya decal alternative.

Not sure re the canopy but you will almost certainly find PE belts on the Hannants website. Search for your kit and all the aftermarket stuff should list with it.

Didn’t know Tamiya did a 1/32 109.

Here are some PE seatbelts - they are designed for the Revell kit but I can't imagine any issue using it with Tamiya

You could also try fabric ones - they are a personal favourite of mine; Eduard and HGW each do one (which I suspect will be very similar), again they are 'designed' for other kits, but I doubt you will have an issue , I would check the instuctions for each first though just in case you can see any issues

You may be able to get the items cheaper from somewhere other than Hannants, so I would shop around a bit

I usually mask a canopy in Bare Metal foil, spray the framework and then dip it into the liquid acrylic of your choice i.e. Future for me
That way I don't wreck the canopy shine

make sure the PFC has completely harden and you shall be fine... if you happen to mess things up (I sure hope not ) ... because you have applied PFC "first"... you can dip the canopy in Windex or Windoleen for a few days and all paints and PFC will lift up and you can start over....
