Spitfire Book - Recommendations

Hiya,
Can anyone please recommend a good book on Spitfires?

I am looking for history on all the different Mk's and colour pics as a reference guide... There are a few on Amazon but always best to get another modellers opinions before shelling out cash on something

The SAM publications books are pretty comprehensive although not sure how easy they are to get hold of nowadays
Colour profiles, detail photos and colour drawings, history, and a section on kits and extras.

Worth it if you can find them.

I just saw on Valiant Wings website that they are releasing a Spitfire book in their Airframe and Miniature series - it is only part one, covering Merlin variant, but if their other books are anything to go by I would highly recommend this book

I have recently bought 4 books on Spitfire history, see a recent post of mine in the Postman thread -

So currently reading through these but so far they are all a bit limited on the level of technical information, I have heard the Haynes book is good but they did not have any of those for sale in The Works..
