Signing off on this one. Fairly happy with the end result although there are one or two little niggles - namely the nesting of the canopy sliding section over the rear fixed section is less than perfect and those flippin' landing flaps were a flippin' nightmare! You are looking at the third incarnation of them and the sixth fitting! Just one of the joys of scratch-building in 1/144! I also used Brengun's lovely little maintenance set to add a little, er, something-or-other to it and the radio antenna wires are hairs off the back of the dog. Black ones, so I didn't need to paint them! YT video to follow as usual. Anyway, here it is for what it's worth! :)

An absolute masterpiece, simply beautiful - the fact it is 1/144 makes it all the more impressive.

Long may you grace this forum with such fine work - in other words build some more for us to enjoy.

I was thinking it would be amazing if you could get a coin from WW2 and mount it on the base to permanently show the size and add historical essence.

Thank you kind sir, for your kind words of kind kindness and that is a great idea, especially if I could get a coin dated 1944! Ebay, here I come!

This is amazing work. If you can do this good at 1:144 scale. Then I can't wait to see your next project if bigger scale !

Stunning work mate..... Absolutely amazing.
Not only is it a tiny spit..... Its a tiny spit with its hood off showing the engine detail as well....
1/144 scale, detailed as a 1/32 ... Brilliant and very inspiring.
Hope to see something equally as good on a WW2 coin then? :th:
:cheers2:

That is fantastic...I thought it was a typo and not 1/144 scale...but the pound coin proves the point at how small this model actually is...very nice job indeed :

Another cracker Gary, though I am getting worried for your health, if you don't build something larger than 1/144 scale soon I think your eyes will explode from straining.
