Ism Friday's night live at the bench what have you been working on for *May 4th*

Post by Kingdan »

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?”

NEW! Starting this upcoming Friday, the Live! Crew will not only review your work, they will also pick their favorite build for the week. The entry with the most votes will win an ISM Goodie Bag! It is just one more reason to show us your work each week, so what are you waiting for?

**Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, May 4th**

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.
05). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew.

This week I started work on the companion sub to my recent build, the Industria Makanika 1/35 Implausible Long-Nose submersible.

Parts cleanup was quick and easy (the quality of the casting is excellent) and assembly of the photo-etch parts went smoothly except for the propeller cowl that gave me some grief. In the end I abandoned trying to hold it together with CA glue and soldered it which made it strong enough for me to role it into a perfect cylinder (the reason the CA glue joint kept failing).

I have also started work on painting the interior and also modified the portholes to allow the figment of watch crystals in place of the kit-supplied plastic glass.

Howdy all!

Tamiya 1/48 A6M Zero. Old kit with raised panel lines, but for the price it's a good value. Primed Ultimate black, interior is Vallejo air green zinc chromate. Other bits in the Tamiya acrylic range.

Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday everyone!

This week I've made a proper start on my 1/35 Panzerjager 1 by Zvezda. So far I've done the fighting compartment detail, using both kit parts and PE aftermarket. I intended to have a mini-art driver go in here, but he's not going to fit once the top goes on because it's just such a small space. I'll have to rethink my diorama idea now :(

I have been working on the Tamiya 1/48 Dewoitine D.520. I wanted to build this kit as a quick mojo builder after the Tempest but if anything its destroyed it. Cant understand why as Tamiya kits area dream to build. Ahh well. Camo done free hand and the striped all masked and sprayed.

After a couple of weeks away I've been working on my Airfix Harrier GR 1 for the 1/72 SiG. Despite having Dan's favourite red logo on the box this has gone together well and is a fun little kit - just a bit of attention needed in the front wheel well. It's been painted primarily with Vallejo model air & model colour. The decals went down a treat which was great given I've managed to wreck decals on the last couple of builds; there's still some work required to get them to settle into the complex shapes around the air intakes but a couple more doses of Micro-Sol and some Solvaset should hopefully sort that out
