Backing up a `how to` or `build log`

With the demise of yet another internet info source ... (Military Modelling) as well as the case of the disappearing forum pictures, I thought it high time i got off my backside.
I`ve already got lots of build logs go up in smoke, that I had `bookmarked` for that day that I start to build the same model.
after much complicated `how to archive a whole forum` with the use of programming, I fell into this.....
If youre using Firefox, there is an add on called Save as PDF

it will add an icon to firefox top bar, or wherever you tell it, and it will save the page you`re on (pictures and all) as a PDF for you to store for reference.
Other browsers are available.
(and sorry if I`m the only one who didnt know how to do this)

The only issue I`ve hit is the `multi-page` thread.
Easily solved however .... either label each save as `Tank SBS page 1`, `Tank SBS page 2` etc, or Adobe Acrobat will combine each page saved into One PDF if you Right-Click the saved file.
Just wish I hadnt been lazy years ago.

Update after a week ........... gotta say, I have started using this quite a lot.
If I see a decent build thread for something I`m interested in, I now PDF it straight away and stash it in the related folder for that subject.
Makes the info easier to get to, even if the pictures haven't moved or the site no longer exists.
It also makes it available `offline` of course.

If you want to recover some of your old build threads, Try placing the links in the Wayback Machine.
http://www.wayback.com/
They archive websites. If you have a link or a date of when you posted, you can recover the thread then copy and save the thread. I got tired of hosting sites and some websites going away and losing past builds and other info. So I started my own website/blog to keep all my information and photos in one location.
