Howdy,

Cheap old kit I bought to get the mojo flowing. Started this dude about 5 weeks ago; but, I was away for work and didn't get to do much with it. It's a fairly simple kit overall and goes together pretty well. I'm sure there is a ton of aftermarket out there for this kit; but, I didn't try any.

I used Ultimate Black matte primer, X-18 semi-gloss for cowl and XF-76 IJN Gray Green overall. It looks alright. I haven't decided on weathering yet. It seems most people beat the heck out of these Japanese planes, so I may leave it rather clean just to be different.

Decals and the rest finished up. Did some light weathering and I'm calling it done for now.

Lovely! I am working on the A6M2 Floatplane.
I was shooting for that exact color last night but didn't get it; mine's too green.
I'll have to backtrack some and shoot some thin correcting layers over it.

Did the decals give you any trouble?

Decals went down well. A little on the thick side; but, overall not that bad.
