Just a few images of a build I did a few months ago. It's the old Revell DR1 Kit. Damn thing gave me fits and it's a true lemon but with a little TLC...It builds up sweet!

Thought I'd share. Thanks for looking

Was going to say the same as Coen.
Always nice to see when someone has made a good job painting wood grain.

Thanks Coen. this kit was a dog but she turned out okay. This was the first time I tried the "wood grain" technique.

It says 1/28 on the box Coen. She's a nice size kit. An old Revell but with a little TLC, she turned out okay. There are a few things I would have done different on it. That's why I picked up another! Lmao. Going to do the pother as Werner Voss's plane

Very cool.
Great choice. 1/28... that's a weird one.

Ohhh.... Crap.
I was hoping. :(
I watched this early this morning Red... excellent work... Keep this up and we're gonna start calling you the Bi-plane man.
You should think about giving a Wingnut kit a go. They are absolutely fantastic kits.
They aren't cheap but they are supposed to be amazing.
I was thinking about getting one once I build a few more planes.

I would love to see one of our boys... or girl, knock one of these together.

I've had my eye on one of those Wing Nut Wings kits for some time brother. I almost picked one up last month but chose paints instead. I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and get one next month. From what I've been seeing and reading about those kits....they are sweet! Keep watching brother....There will be one in the offing soon! LOL

I thought that the woodgrain on the prop was a decal. Was totally blown away that you hand painted that.:

Completely awesome work! :thumb1:

I can't wait for the WW1 build coming up in the new year, maybe I'll try my hand at hand painted wood grain too.
