1/72 HSS-1 Seabat

Hello All
As in topic. Made by Italieri.Below compulsory picture:

There is only two main sprues and clear parts sprue. So I've thought, it will be quick, nice weekend build. Guess what. It's not:

Pushouts holes everywhere And edges are not sharp, seams line on all parts I think. Etc... ( I drilled the holes in seats supports by the way)

On another hand there are nice details as for 1/72 scale:

the part fit was quite good, nothing that a blob of Tamiya putty couldn't manage. But then the nose section come into play initially, when I was looking at the separate parts I think the grills would be OK after some careful painting and dry brushing and washes. But after trying to join them, there is a big, nasty gap and it will need a lot of putty and then all details will disappear . So the project is on hold now, awaiting some PE stuff from Eduard via Hannants

Fun continues......
As you can see below PE parts make a difference. And you get much more than just one grille. There are some parts for interior as well but it arrived to late.

Almost ready for painting. Need to instal some tiny PE handels

I think that Italeri employs people, whose sole job is to find the most inaccessible and annoying places to have pushout marks

Well, thats because this is actually a rebox of the kit that has been around almost as long as I have. It was tooled in 1966.

That being said, you are doing a great job with it!
