Fujimi Gulf Porsche 917K Le Mans

Post by Kevthemodeller »

Well better late than never, this was my entry for the recent Bike/Car sig that I just run out of time on due to pressures of work.

The kit fought me most of the way the fit really isn't good on many parts, requiring some form of modification a few are very poor and this is with a higher price tag than say Tamiya :wtf: :pistols: For some reason the application of the dip AK Gauzy went all odd :wall: The clear plastic wasn't good to start with, it now has what looks like stains on them, it's almost as if the liquid wasn't thin enough but it worked fine last time :bash:
On balance I won't be buying on more Fujimi kits certainly not cars.
Here she is, despite all it's not come out too bad I feel and is my first car build in over 30years :th:

Holy Cow!! Beautiful! Is that kit still available? I need one. I love running these in Project Cars 2 - Spirit of Le Mans DLC, and this kit would be awesome to do.

Was it pretty tough? And thanks for sharing.

Thanks mate and yes the is still available but getting harder to find well in the UK. I'd not recommend it though it's very basic, there's no engine, minimal detail for brakes, cockpit and the fit of some parts is terrible. You can get an up grade PE kit but again hard to find and expensive.

On balance if your pockets are deep enough, you really like the car take a look at MHF 1/24 & 1/12 kits :th:
