Tamiya Bf-109E-4 1/48 a safe return?

Hi, everyone!

As I said in my intro message, am returning to the hobby, so I want to make it “easy”.

The chosen one is a Bf-109E4/7 1:48 Tamiya. Simple but beautiful model, thou I´m really capable of ruin it!

In the, box stored for years, I found an Eduard photoetch set (48-196) and an AeroMaster decal sheet “Marauding Emils Part IV” (48-249) with 5 nice AC profiles. One caught my attention, Nr.8 flown by Gefreiter Nittmann with a white nose and tail.

Besides this decal set is 20+ years old and don´t know how will it behave, I really like the Nr. 8 AC, but…is the scheme correct? White nose and tail, really? I wasn´t able to get any photo for this particular plane, but many of the 7./JG27 in early/mid 1940 were painted yellow nose and tail.

So, before I start and with your help, I would like to solve that issue, and if lucky enough I´m planning on posting the building advance photos in the blog.

Cheers!
