Help Wanted - Pictures of old Humbrol / Airfix Tins / Tinlets

Post by AlexBB »

Hiya,
Whilst doing research to assist in the Color Utility that Matthew (Bfrd) has been working on I came across an International modeller who has catalogued a large number of the historic Humbrol tins and sets...

Rob is an IPMS member in the Netherlands and I have been in email communication with him about what he has produced.

Here is the Tin evolution;

https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/humbrol.htm

and the Humbrol historic color reference;

https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/authentics.htm

Both of these are great references for old kits and colours...

The 'Help Wanted' bit is that if anyone has any old Humbrol tins, Airfix tinlets or Bottles that are not shown then Rob would be very grateful of pictures of what you have to add to the database and web page.....

Ideally pictures need to be straight on and close up so that the details on the tin can be read. Front and back pics are Ideal, and if there is any unusual logo on the top then a pic of that would also be great..

You could add them to this thread or send me a PM or email with them and I can forward to Rob - Many Thanks :th: :th:
