Matchbox 1/12 Vincent Black Shadow have you built one?

I've been dragging this kit around in my stash since it came out in the 80's, never quite game to start it. Has anybody out there any experience with this kit or is it best left as an un assembled collectors piece for those enthused by the subject? Advice, tips and brickbats welcome.
