Some people might not access the forums quite regularly through either work or life getting in the way. One way to increase traffic flow or at least allow one to access the forum as well as receiving any notifications such as someone posting in a thread that one created, quotation, or a PM. You could create a mobile application to access the forum, or you could have any of the above notifications mentioned earlier sent to ones email that they used to register with.

A possible email could read:

Dear forum user,

Someone has posted in your thread/sent you a PM/quoted you. Please log into the forum to view it.

I like the idea of an app. There are already email notifications - you need to subscribe to a thread using the spanner button above. You can change your notification preferences in your user control panel.

notifications are not working again for me. anybody else have this problem?

I'm assuming a mobile app would be a fair amount of work, but was wondering about adding the forum to the taptalk app, which is a mobile app for easy access to web forums
