Alanger [ICM] 1/48 Yak-7DI/9

Getting into the spirit of things, here is my next build, a Yak-7DI/9. This aircraft is the transition between the metal/wood construction of the Yak-7 and the all metal construction of the Yak-9. So without any further ado, here are the sprue shots.
There is some flash, particularly on the prop and air scoop. The cylinder heads have noticeable sink marks and there is a minor sink mark on the port side where the tail wheel fits inside the fuselage. The panel lines are crisp and recessed and there is a reasonable degree of detail for the cockpit, wheel wells, engine block and nose armament (20mm cannon). The instrument panel contains far too many dial faces and needs to be triple checked against reference photos. The major disaster are the decals. Somehow the decal sheet with this kit has remnants of paper stuck to them and has been badly crumpled. I'll need to source some aftermarket ones or paint my own as my spares box only has leftovers from the 1/144 kits that I've been making to date.
1/48 is my favourite scale as it allows for a reasonable amount of detailing and feels the same in my hand as 1/72 did back in my youthful modelling days.
