Found this great site through Paul's excellent build videos.

I am coming back to the modelling world after a 20 year absence. Last models I built was as a kid and my things have gotten so much better since then.
I love airplanes and cars so plan to model those the most. Although I have trying my hand at building an Abrams tank right now.

There are quite a few car and AFV modellers here. I'm mainly into aircraft but am branching out into missiles and artillery pieces. The best advice I can give is to get involved, especially in a group build. Oh and enjoy yourself.

Welcome to the forums. You're joining a big group of returnees. You are right that there have been a lot changes in modeling since we were younger. To me quality and choice has improved the most. You don't just go buy paint or glue anymore. So many selections!
