AMT Anakins Pod Racer..

Moving house in under 2 weeks so not much time for the bench or Hangouts..

The few moments I have had I have finally managed to finish the Pod Racer..

Mostly painted with Tamiya colours, with a little Kit Kat action on the engines.. :)

The base was rather boring so added a little Scenery..

Nice kit to put together, after I stripped it all down and removed the paint from the owners original attempt to build and paint it 17/18 years ago. :wtf:

Thanks for taking a look and I hope you like it

Karl

Well Mathew this week i wanted to fit the windows in to ye olde church.

Made by myself using acetate and images for the internet and works printer.  The background is a mock up of what's to come in the next stage (Karl is a whiz don't you know). Thanks for your support from you all and of course Graeme for his weekly shout outs.

The link to the build series on the Youtube channel happens to be in my signature on the forum, Just saying :D :th:

After those two magnificent examples of modelling skill I'm almost embarrassed to present this little model, a modest achievement in comparison. It's the Airfix 1/144 Boeing 737-200 decked out in the colours of 'L'Aeropostale'. The white is Tamiya TS-26, the leading edges are Tamiya TS-83 (both decanted of course), the grey on the wings is Boeing Grey concocted for my by the local automotive paint shop, based on Xtracolor Boeing Grey, and the corogard panels come from my last tin of Xtracolor Corogard (which is no longer being imported into Australia and which Hannants can no longer send me - a real bugger). The window and door decals are from Draw Decals, the airline decals are by Flightpath but they tended to go off like a 100kg fragmentation bomb and made me go grey before my time. I also stole some decals from an Oldmodels 737-200 decal sheet and will have to buy another one so I can complete my next 737. Cheers!

Evening crew, this is my first ISM post. I have just finished the 1990's iconic Lamborghini Diablo VT by Revell in 1/24.

Primed in Ultimate white primer, painted in Lamborghini Rosso Arancio Orange from Zero Paints then clear coated with Zero Paints 2K Diamond finish.  The interior and other parts were painted with Tamiya acrylics. Wheels and engine were painted with Alclad metal paint.

I had to sand and polish it to get out some damn dust but overall happy with the finish of this very cheap kit which I really enjoyed putting together.

This may be amongst the longest running builds in the history of ISM Friday Night Live - 1/72 M&S rebox of the Revell Lancaster Mk. 1/3 (see what I did there Dan?)
Anyway, did some faffing about with Ultimate washes mixing some and using others straight. Wasn't worried so much about the camo but the black proved pretty naff to weather so the next stage was weathering with oils. Wow, just the effect I wanted
My Brother-In-Law, who captained the BBMF Lanc in the 90's, cautioned me that the exhaust stains coated the upper wings except from the outer exhausts and that I was not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES to weather the outers. So here's the current state - pretty much done with just the fiddly bits to add. Could we see a finished model next week?

Thanks for looking.

Takom Meillewagon V2 & SS100 Hanomag

Sub assemblies all complete apart from the wheels, which I'll be working on during tonight's show.

No issues with the kit at all until I came to join top and bottom of the tractor together. Needed some trimming to make it fit.

All ready for a coat of Black Ultimate Primer

The kinetic mirage 2000 D is now done.
The kit was ok, but needed a few bits of aftermarket .
Wheels , engine and the refueling plug got upgraded with resin and metal bits.

Eduard PE in the cock-pit.

The ordinance needed a bit of sculpting to look convincing.
By checking references I found that there were a few mistakes in the instructions,
But is was easily sorted by swapping around bits on the dorsal . Image

Hi guys thanks for the add and my new airbrush😀

here is my take on the tamiya panzer ii ausf F. when i got this model i found a reference photo of one burned out and i had never tried that type of build before so i thought i would give it a try..

for the tank i primed the model in Ultimate white primer then apply a base colour of burnt umber to the model. i then used the ak range of rust effects to build up the different layers of rust and burnt looks. to finish the model i used the hairspray technique with the main colour of german grey by tamiya. brushing off most of that colour to give me the peeling effect of the paint from the fire.i then used humbrol weathering powders to add an ash effect to the commander hatch and the engine bay.

i built a diorama base using plaster Paris and then used some molds i had to create the broken walls. the paints i used was the ak range of rust effects with humbrol weathering powders to achieve an ash effect.

hope you guys like it.

thanks ricky

Got the tamiya 1/24 Calsonic GT-R finished this week. I used the tamiya detail set and added fabric belts. Ultimate White primer, Zero paints calsonic blue, MIPA clear coat. Amazing kit, highly recommended if you can find one. Onto the next calsonic, 4 down, 5 more to go...

Hey Guys!

FInished my Revell 1/144 B2 Spirit for the Bomber SiG this week.

It was painted with a mix of Gunze H305 (FS36118) and Tamiya XF-24 Dark Grey. I made my own paintmasks using my Silhouette Portrait and replaced the kit decals with Begemot aftermarket decals.
