#29 - GinjaNinja's Academy 1/72 USAAF B-29A "Bockscar"

Some people will find this very hard to believe but, yes, I have actually finished a model (think its the first one this year as the other one was started last year!!!).

Well here is my completed 1/72 Academy B-29A in all its glory as "Bockscar" the infamous plane that dropped the plutonium bomb "Fatman" on Nagasaki.

I really enjoyed this build even though there are some fit issues especially around the cockpit glass. First time using AK Xtreme Metal paints which proved to be very nice overall and very easy to spray but somewhat fragile after so care was needed.

Many thanks for organising this SIG as it has pushed me to complete something and been thoroughly enjoyable, the whole reason for being a member of this forum really.

Spot the damaged decal which I missed, some of it got pulled off when redoing the cockpit!!! Didn't notice until after I had taken the pics.

Cheers it's just a coastal kits base. I bought it for my vulcan build but that stalled waaaay back.
