acrylic varnish ???

Just finished building a Tamiya hanomag kit what's the best acrylic varnish to use to finish off my kit ???

Your question is like asking "How long is a piece of string?". Everyone has their preferred solution that they will swear is bullet proof. My advice, for what its worth, is to buy a pot of each and see what works for you.

`Acrylic` narrows it down a bit ...........maybe not, I`ll get me coat.
EDIT : maybe not ....hes doing a German Halftrack, so its a dull-cote. Tamiya Flat, Mr. dullard or Testors dull coat seem the 3 most popular choices.
I`ve used Tam XF-86 in the past .... no problemo

For a matt coat I have been using Winstor and Newton matt Varnish. Its a acrylic water based. So far it's been bullet proof.

gloss coat sue X-22 and Tamiya X20A to thin so you're good to go. One suggestion if you have it is to pop 1 drop of retarder or flow improver into the mix as well. It will slow the drying time and allow the gloss coat to settle even more.

Acrylics I’ve used Tamiya and older Mig AK etc varnishes non problems. I’ve heard good things about the Ammo from Mig lucky varnishes. Seems easier to handle so might be worth a shot.

I didn't read it properly, finish coat ... so not the X-22.....
