1:24 Revell #7008 BMW i8

2nd Car build and learning alot - for example, learning not to use Vallejo Gloss and expect to polish/sand it!
I enjoyed this kit, but can't workout why there was so much detail on the front motor for it only to be covered up.

Primer: Ultimate White
Base Coat: Vallejo ModelAir Mix (Grey and Metallic Black)
Clear Coat: Tamiya TS-13 (after a failed Vallejo Gloss)

So did you have to strip off the first clear???

No I just left it on the front (where it peeled). The rest was without clear at the time.

But lesson learnt.

I did just have a total disaster with another car where the Revell white paint wrinkled under TS-13 and I just finish stripping that. Shame as it was a rally car with plenty of decals (decals were fine).

I`m feelin` it mate ...... I have ended up with some cars in the stash and real nervous about starting them.
@Paul s videos are vey good, as well as watching how`The Scalemodeling Channel` paints his cars.
When any of us build a model, WE know what we arent happy with, and WE know what were gonna do about it next time, thats all that matters
