First Build, 1:72 Revell Lancaster

Post by Lynx »

This is my first build in over 8 years. It's far from perfect and I have learnt alot from the mistakes I have made. It has been painted with a brush as I don't own a airbrush yet, so it's not the best paint job.

Looks great!

Sometimes I think these old war birds often benefit from being brushed rather than sprayed, the finishes would've been far from perfect in the 40's trying to get these out of the factory as quickly as possible, I think it can add to the authenticity sometimes.

Great job

Thank you for all the nice comments. I think Gary30 made a good point regarding a war bird being brush painted adding to the authenticy, although airbrushing for certain projects can produce excellent results.

nice build mate like it .. as said the brush painting makes it look right i did my first build last week a car from the 80s and was worried about the look of the paint until somebody mentioned about the authenticity of the paint work..
