This is the first time that I build something different then tanks ...

I can not say much to this small base. I wanted to make it as easy as possible.
The frame is usually for photos. The cobbled street from Heller is actually a wall.

With my uniforms I am quite satisfied only the faces look very boring. I have to practice with faces a bit more...

The boys look great too.

If you want to make the faces a bit less boring as you say, a bit more of a pin wash on the faces and you'd bring that detail out a bit.
Seal them with some clear varnish first though.

Go slow and use thin paint and you should be fine buddy.

As Coen said washes are great to add more depth to figures.

Looking good Dunhill, as others have said a pin wash with bring out the details nicely, just take your time .
