Hello,

I started this kit and forgot to really take any pictures up until now. Really well engineered from what I can tell. All the parts seem to fit good so far.

Getting ready for primer. I used Ultimate Black. It went on a bit weird. Which is odd because Ultimate has always been amazing for me. So, I think that it's eaither:
A. There is still a bit of release agent on the parts.
B. I need a new bottle of primer, probably due to large temp swings and/or freezing; plus not shaking it up enough.

It is interesting to know that I was spraying another sprue from another kit and didn't have primer issues during the same spray session tonight.

Dunkelgelb base is down. Need to do some assembling and such before putting on the camo paint.

I think I got it around November of last year. I've moved house since then and now my primer stuff lives in the garage vice my living room (I had a sweet bachelor pad.) But, this stuff has always been amazing. That's why I'm thinking release agent maybe. Or, it could be that I'm not completely cleaning out the lacquer from my airbrush as I've been spraying a lot of Alclad Aircraft Aluminum.

Only solution is to buy another kit and try it on that one. I'm thinking Bandai B-wing for my next build.

Got some more work done on the Panther. Quite a fun little kit. I have to say, I'm usually all about historical perfectness. However, I just went with the Tamiya acrylic callouts and I think it looks pretty good! Originally I had tried the MMP 1943+ Dunkelgelb and it was way to light for my liking. The XF-60 worked pretty well and sprayed a lot better than the Vallejo Model Air Dunkelgelb I've used in the past. Camo colors are the XF-61 Dark Green, then the XF-64 Red Brown. Everything was sprayed out of a Ultimate Apex at about 20 psi or so.

Couple of pics of pre-paint, then the camo being applied. The Ultimate Black Primer base I did really helped the shadows. I'm a fan! You can see how light in color the front sprocket is, as that was the MMP sprayed one. I'm either going to try and do a dark wash over it, or leave it; and, make it look like it's a new part on the tank.

Looking good ....Tamiyas version of the base colour is hard to beat.
