Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk IXe

This is the Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk IXe, made as a Mk XVIe highback.
I have finished it in the markings of Wing Commander James Francis Edwards (RCAF), better know by his post war nickname "Stocky" Edwards.
He took over as Wing Co (Flying) 127 Wing (RCAF) 2 TAF in April 1945 from Johnnie Johnson, when Johnnie got promoted to Grp Captain and took over 125 Wing.
I made it straight out of the box with just the Weekend edition Photo Etch set. Painted with Tamiya XF81/82/83 paints.
I did the camo freehand with an Iwata Eclipse, and primed the whole thing black to get the mottling effect, instead of just pre-shading the panel lines.
My best one is always going to be the next one, but I kind of like this one.
