1/48 Eduard SPAD XIII

Hello,
welcome to my build of the Eduard SPAD XII.
Highly detailed kit including PE and masks.

Construction begins with the cockpit.
Only a little construction could be done before painting













After finishing the construction a layer of white Tamiya XF-02 white was used as a primer for the wood. A layer of black was also sprayed in the engine compartment.









After the primer was put down, a coat of yellow ochre oil paint was applied using a large flat brush to represent plywood.









After basecoating in wood colour, I then started to add details using Revell aqua paints.
I also used a MiG Brown enamel wash to highlight details.
Also during this stage I added all the photoetch dials to the cockpit and put a small drop of tamiya xf-22 clear to create a glass effect.














After that was completed, I created the photoetch seatbelts. This was quite a difficult task.



With the completion of the seat the cockpit was then stuck together. Unfortunately, the majority of this detail will be hidden after final construction.
