Total paint removal?

I've got an old Messerschmitt on the bench that I use for testing paints and techniques....... It's getting quite thick now, so I was wondering if there's a way to totally strip it back to the plastic? I know cellulose will do it but it will probably melt the model as well. Any better solutions?

I use Mr Color Levelling Thinner - I just put it on a brush and it comes off really easily (although I suppose the paint one uses is a major factor)

Seeing as it is not a treasured model soaking in engine degreaser will remove the paint. It shouldn't harm the plastic anyway. You could also try soaking in a strong household cleaner like Cillit Bang or Flash Power Spray for a few days as this apparently works as well.

Bleach, brake fluid, isopropyl alcohol or my personal favorite....gel oven cleaner, fresh scent




The cellulose thinners will attack your plastic
