Hi all I've started this a long time ago about the same time as the T-34 anyway here is my progress so far hope you like it


This pic was taken the day I completed my T-34's turret


and this was the progress today putted in the lights,.30 cal and etc



so sorry for the lack of pics will do more progress on it with more pics. BTW does anybody know whether the doors of the sherman is painted white or the hull colour?? The doors I am referring is the commanders hatch,loaders hatch and the drivers hatch tq

Hey Matthew,
They were painted white on the interior, sometime they were primer red. (Some of the restored pieces in museums are olive)
White or primer red is appropriate depending on what you're building.
I think that all PTO M4s were white, but the ETOs were a mix.

Nice work Matthew! I did this tank 2 years ago and I have to say that it's a good kit of Tamiya. Will you make a diorama for the M4??

Ww2hispanomodels , yes its a nice build and does your one have flash ?? Cuz mine have a few of them.. very rare case for tamiya. I won't be building a diorama for this as I want to you know, play with tank sometimes to relieve my stress after studying for long hours.

For your info those suspension are not glued!!! I put some blue tack and stick em up for easier painting purpose
Here is the hull completed except for the tools I will put it after painting is done

I always get bogged down on VVSS suspension. They're tedious. So much clean up. Not as bad as HVSS though.

There's a tiny tweak that you can add to the boogies that dresses them up a bit if you're interested in taking an extra step.

Humm sounds interesting do you have any pics of it so I can roughly know how to make one

Ok Matt... this is a shot of one of my shermans.
Here are some of the common "super detail" options I've seen used on boogies.

You can drill out the 4 holes on the front of the boogie's main housing. Those represent the holes for the return roller arm. Boogies are reversible on VVSS suspension.
You can fill in the join seam (which I forgot).
And if you want to be totally crazy you can add the 12 rivets to the inside rim of the roadwheels. I didn't do that either. haha.
You can also cover a lot of this stuff with mud too. (I've done that as well shhhh).
I usually drill out the holes and that's about it.
Just a few ideas.

Awesome little Sherman you have here. I can't remember the last time I built one That means it's time for me to add one to the stash soon. Looking forward to seeing you build it up.

Thanks Russ progress has been slow lately due to study's for an important exam which will decide my future

I must say that I have never made a 1/35 Sherman. There are certain models that modellers should make. Airfix Spitfire for example, and I think for armour modellers, a 1/35 Sherman is something they should do at somepoint.

I am looking forward to seeing more on this. And it kind of makes me want to get one....future project though!

Ok here's the progress that I done last Wednesday







I will be putting this aside for a few days and build my mustang

Coming along nicely, at the rate your building the mustang you will back to this Sherman by tomorrow

Maybe I'LL try doing it tomorrow after studying

Looks like you chose well for the paint colour too. There's tonnes of blah blah blah about sherman paint colours out there.
In the end its what you think is right. I like it... looks good.
I'll look forward to what you do next.

Thanks tiger 131 its simple all you got to do is prime it black then lightly airbrush the main colour to give it a nice tone
