Evening all!
This week I finished the Fujimi 1/72 MiG-29 in East German Air Force markings.
I think I tempted fate after saying last week that this kit fell together as I had major problems with the decals but I pushed on and finished in around 2 weeks which is very good for me!
First finished model for 2019!
The paint I've used is Vallejo Model Air and a brand of clear coat everyone on ISM seems to dislike.
Have a wonderful show folks!

Feel free to chew the fat for 2 mins over this Tamiya Alfa Romeo 155 V6 DTM I'm currently working on, a kit I know Paul has built before (the red flavour!) so he'll know all about it and the resounding Tamiya quality.
Painted Tamiya X-6 with Mr Color Levelling Thinner and cleared (too heavily for the decals!) with Mr Hobby GX112 UV, I'll remember to put a final photo up for one of the future Friday night live's once it's complete.

I finally finished my entry into Paul's Ghost Plane Christmas build, and since it's still eleven months to Christmas it's good to have got it done nice and early
This is comrade Zvezda's 1/72 SU-27 Flanker which built up nicely oob. Paint has predominantly been from Vallejo's Model Air Flanker Colours set; my piece de resistance on this one was to flood the fine panel lines with aqua gloss but they've been picked out again with MiG Dark Brown Panel Liner and the whole thing has a final coat of AK Ultra Matte.
Here it is after a little playing about with Photoshop

Well Matthew this week I had a change in direction due to an impasse, so out came an Airfix 1.32 Mini Cooper S.
Primed in Ultimate black the shell was then done with a mixture of Tamiya x-16 Purple and Model Color exhaust manifold. The roof was with Tamiya x-33 Bronze, Model color silver and burnt iron. Interior with Model col dark sand 847 and model color crome.
Just a little fun hope you enjoy it.

Here is a 1/144 Welsh Models Armstrong Whitworth Series 100 Argosy in the livery of IPEC (the Interstate Parcel Express Company) in the 1980s. It still needs the props and the undercarriage but they will be done tomorrow.
The decals come from Hawkeye, the purveyor of fine decals sets for Australian civil and military aircraft. This is their latest and I was given a set to try out before it is released. It is a little beauty and well recommended, but the same cannot be said for the kit or my modelling skills. In fact, this is one of the worst models I’ve made in years with a list of faults as long as your arm. But it still looks pretty neat, eh?

Project hot rod/ rat rod
Started with a Monogram 1:25 '41 Willys Street Rod Car Show( bottom small picture).
Rest is made from plasticard and styrene rods, box sections.
Other parts rear wheels and rear shocks are from the bits box.
Rivits are made from thin plasticard and punch out with a 1mm punch by hand.
Still got a long way to go.
Hope you all have a good weekend Andrew

Some super builds in here already, WOW!!
I am re-working a 1/8 scale Pocher Testarossa Ferrari. It is about two feet long and weighs 16 pounds
Bought partially finished from an nice elderly US gent; he got it about 50% done
Body is metal with cheesy ABS plastic interior, I am taking it all apart and re-vamping the interior completely with leather coverings
0.5 mm and thinner leathers with contact cement used to stick the leather to the ABS parts. Red is kangaroo, tan is goat and black is pig leather
So far worked on the seat backs and bottoms plus the passage door. Lots to go

Happy weekend all

I've managed to get quite a bit done on my entry to the "wheels" GB.
The kit is the 1/24 scale Aoshima Nissan Fairlady Z33 Top Secret.
It has been primed with Badger Stynylrez. Body colours are Gravity Colour Camaro Synergy Green and Tamiya Lacquer Gloss Black thinned with Mr Hobby Levelling Thinner
Exhaust painted using AK Xtreme Metal. Other parts of running gear painted with Vallejo Model Air silver. Tamiya Lacquer Matt Black thinned with Mr Hobby Levelling Thinner. Also Tamiya panel pin wash. Just waiting for a good day to 2k clear the body.
Not forgetting all airbrushing done with my Ultimate Modelling Products Apex.

Hi all its Southport Steve. Sorry nothing posted from me for awhile have been suffering a bad bout of insomnia for the last 4-5 months relying on 3-4 hours sleep a night. Sleeping better now so trying to get modelling mojo going again. Here is my 1/32 wingnut wings figure of Max Immelmann painted with vallejo and abteilung 502 oils.

First time in a long time I've had something to show. It's not quite at the stage I wanted it to be but better than nothing!
This is a MiniArt diorama that I've painted using Ultimate grey primer, then a variety or Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics. The first bit of weathering has been done with Mig Ammo panel line wash. Next step will be to crack open the Ultimate washes and get it looking a lot more realistic hopefully!

This weeks update on the Project hot rod/ rat rod
Started with a Monogram 1:25 '41 Willys Street Rod Car Show.
Welds seams on the body and lower half made from green stuff.
Then used a toothpick / micro brush to create the weld seams in the green stuff.
Still got a long way to go.
Hope you all have a good weekend Andrew

So i will use this opurtunity to make a duble post since on live was sadly canceled to the mans most deadly dissease! Hope you are well now Paul
So where to sart first off i present you my two nevest 72nd bird both from Tamiya the Spitfire Mk.I with eduards PE and FW 190D-9 that was OOB.
Ill just say something abau the Spit. it was a but of challenge as PE set offered option for opened doors, the panel was easy to remove but the canopy in the kit was aviable only in closed position, thankufully there were 2 of the same one so i separated moveable part from one and static part from one as they overlay when closed
and i wanted to recreate as best as i could with my skills. Also the aiming thing was solid plastic so i removed the portion that was suppoed to be clear and replaced it with clear film for extra bit of detail!

Finally back to the DAF truck and Cartwright trailer, I got going on the trailer Chassis and floorplan, all scratch built from evergeen sheet and strip. KFS resin suspension added. I hope to get the box built for the trailer over the weekend. Having the manufacturers drawings and able to scale them to 1/24 has been a great help.
Cheers Ian D

I have been slowly plodding away with the wingnut brandenburg. Needed to get some filler on areas i had an issue with when glueing the fuselage together, my fault not the kit. The wings had a join that needed some attention. The rear tail was the only real area that was a fault on the kit, it had two large sink marks that i have slowly built up using Mr Surfacer brushed on. Its pretty much at primer time. Special colours have been ordered for the paint I'm now awaiting there arrival

Evening all, this week I have been mostly working on this Demonic Creations Rick and Morty, saw it at Telford and liked the idea of building something different / weird. It's a limited run casting (garage kit) so needs a bit of work as you'd expect. Ultimate Primer used, with Mr Color supplied by Model Emporium over the top, lots of shading and bits to do to make it scary enough to frighten the grandkiddies, if they venture into me shed.
Lots to do - and supporting the forum for a change!
