Canopy Masking Tape Spooge

I used Montex canopy masks on my 1/72 109 and when I took them off some of the adhesive goo is still on the windows.
How do I get the spooge off without causing all manner of chaos?
Thanks

Goo Gone I believe is the stuff of choice if you can get it.

I think I have that stuff around the house somewhere.
I went for a walk and I had the thought that maybe I'll put Tamiya tape over the paint and try a little Novus #1 on a cotton bud or tiny piece of microfiber cloth first.

The Goo Gone seemed to get it all. I dabbed some on and left it for not quite five minutes and then cleaned it off with warm soapy water. I didn't disturb the painted frames which are Mr. Color lacquer paint seal with Alclad semi matte varnish.
I just have to reattach the antenna post. :- /

Put some tape over it again it may lift the residue off
