Gentle nudge for this one as the fillers must have gone off by now and I was looking forward to part 2!

Hey mate, yeah I didn't do the follow,up as I didn't think this had generated much interest, I'll get to it though.

I watched the whole darn thing - OK I had to have a beer to keep me awake though. But it is not easy to make putty interesting but you did a fine job mate.
You need to do a follow up - you can't leave us hanging in suspense, we need to know. :thumb2:

Cheers
Jim

I can't remember if it was in there but the revell filler is utter rubbish....it stinks to high heaven and dries so quickly that you cant even spread it properly. It does sand fairly well though. All in all I am going to chuck it in the bin and invest in a couple of tubes of perfect plastic putty, being water based it looks like the right thing for my ham fistedness, especially since the cleanup looks really easy. I also want a tube of the Vallejo Putty, that looks the business too.....

Thanks for the review Paul, was really helpful!

Another vote for part two please. It would be really useful to see how they compare on sanding etc. I'm still struggling with choosing the right one for a particular job.

Same here. I'm currently using Squadron white but am open to better alternatives. I've resorted to masking areas where I use it to limit the inevitable spread while trying to get it where it needs to go!

Hiya Paul,
I came in search of & Just found this post after coming across the review on the YouTube Channel last week..

Really useful review of the various puttys & fillers, great job :th:

Last weekend I picked up some of the Perfect Plastic Putty from my LMS after watching this review but when I got it home and opened the box it seems they have changed the packaging and the nozzle they supply. Its now in a metal tube and with a smaller different blue nozzle and cap, initially I wondered if I had bought the wrong stuff but having had a look at their website and pictures online it seems the Quantity at 40ml and the part number BD44 are still the same as the old packaging.

As I never used this product when it was in the older packaging have you or anyone else found it to be any different or changed from when you tested it back in 2013?

Just recently bought a new tube of perfect plastic putty and it seems exactly the same as every other tube I've had. Quick tip though to stop it drying out and wasting half the tube put a piece of clingfilm over the nozzle before you screw the cap back on.
