Things sure have changed

I started modeling when I was 11 or 12 and continued into my early 20’s. Life, wife, kids and war got in the way for a bunch of years but I never lost interest and tried a number of times to get back into. Now’s the time to make it happen.
I started out only doing cars but while living in Germany I got heavily into studying the Third Army and that got me into armor, I have four M24’s and would love to do a diorama of the 3rd Cav before Hersfeld. I also have a M88A1 I would like to build to represent 2/67 Armor’s HQ-837 from the Gulf War. After returning to the States I got into 18th Century living history which led me into woodworking. During my research into 18th Century Cabinetmaking I learned about miniature furniture and got hooked. But the thing I am really interested in is architectural models. I was involved in building a scale house in high school and have always wanted to do it again.
Presently, I am building my workstation and would love to hear any suggestions on organization. As for the username, I am building my workstation in the closet of our spare bedroom. Most of what I do is scratch built and most of my tools are in my garage wood shop so storage space really isn’t an issue (for now).
