Tamiya 1 32 P51D Mustang

SO got this a week ago and thought why not. My dearest kit to date so it's a ootb build.
I see why tamiya 1 32 kits get so much praise, they are beautiful both in detail size. So many reviews out there so I'm not going to do one on this. I'm just going to enjoy this one.




SO after 10 days I have got the engine done. No after market on this kit. I just want to build ootb but even without the extra after market stuff it's still a fantastic and easy engine to build. Done some slight weathering on the fire wall and engine but is hard to see. I also painted the firewall on chromite yellow, I know that there is debate on the actual colour used but I don't care it's my build and I'm loving it.

Looking forward to this one, I've got one in my stash which hopefully at some point this year I'll start

Day 20, Finally got the cockpit tub sorted. Was great to build. Was primed in Ultimate black then spayed with Mr hobby aquious and Ultimate black.





The green looks brighter then it actually is, was going to use the kit seatbelts but decided to buy some fabric ones instead. Used oils and Ultimate mud wash in a stippling action to give a warn look.
Next up is the cockpit walls and fuselage.

Nice work on the cockpit so far
