spoiled paint question

I have a question on my model I could use some help on. This is my first model in over 40 years so my knowledge is very limited. Here is what is going on. I primed the chassis with the Tamiya Surface primer in a rattle can and looks great. Chassis is already painted with Tamiya X-18 Semi gloss black and looks sweet. I did the mirrors and spoiler the same day and ran the paint My birthday was 2 days away so my lovely wife bough me an airbrush for my birthday so I would not screw up the car body. I spent 5 days practicing on paper prior to spraying so as to not mess up when spraying the body. Here is where the fun/ugly starts. Should I mention here my last name is MURPHY !?! I did the body or at least tried with Tamiya surface primer. Well being green I had the bottles I got from the LHS X20A I cut the primer with this and stirred. Turned in to a nice mess in my cup…. A trip to the LHS and learning that I need Lacquer thinner and then 45 min cleaning the gun I sprayed some primer on cardboard. I did not like the results and re-cleaned the gun and parts and another trip to the LHS to show the bumper I sprayed. They recommend Vallejo Surface Primer. This went down nice, 3 coats. I waited 48 hrs and 12000 sanded prior to paint. I used Splash paint. When I talked to Chad at Spraygunners he said use 18 psi so I set my unit for 18 psi. I used lite coats and the car looks like a highland plaid

I asked again and they said sand and use sanding sealer. I did and every place there was a remnant of blue, i.e. just a lite amt I got a puckering. Has anyone ever run into this?

Last nigh while watching the NASCAR race I sat on my deck outside and stripped the car to bare plastic. Going to hit the body with Tamiya rattle can later today when it hits 60. Any thoughts or suggestions besides MURPHY came to visit Murphy…… My plans is just to paint with Tamiya X-13 when the primer sets.
