I built this kit for my Dad as a surprise. He used to have one. So there were not many pictures of the build. He has the model now so pictures went up to Flickr.
The kit was an awesomely fun build from Tamiya. It was my first bike so I had a bit of learning, but it came out quite well. The only thing that I didn't paint personally was the headlamp cover. All the chrome in the kit was stripped with lye and repainted.

Paints:
Main Color: Splash Paint Liquid Blue Pearl - Cleared with Splash 2K Clear (Primed in Ultimate Gray)
Chrome: Alclad II Chrome (Primed in Ultimate Gloss Black)
Two types of Aluminum both from Vallejo Metal Color- Aluminum and Dull White Aluminum (Primed in Ultimate Gloss Black)
Gold: Vallejo Metal Color Gold (Primed in Ultimate Gloss Black)
Flat Black (Frame): Ultimate Black Primer
Brake Discs: Vallejo Metal Color Magnesium (Primed in Ultimate Gloss Black)
Clear Colors: Tamiya X (fill in color here)
