Hi All

I’m getting ready to build the Alfa 155 in the Jagermeister scheme and just wondered which paint Manufacturer produces the nearest colour match.

The two I’ve been looking at are zero paints and splash paints.

Any advice/opinions gratefully received.

Cheers Steven.

Both are good very paints
My vote is whatever you can get a hold of easiest and for a reasonable cost
This depends on your geographic location

Its a debated one :) but from what i can tell either are good matches. Zero is a nice reliable one, I can't say anything about Splash as I've never used it, I'm ordering some of their yellows and 2k clear for my next project :)

Im guessing you mean one of these ? From what I can tell most people go for the Zero Paints, its also whats recommended for it on Hiroboy.com but the Tamiya X-6 Orange is just as nice a match for a more budget option.
Like Scott said it's down to budget and availability next.

I used bog standard Tamiya orange for mine, I don’t think you can go wrong really, any orange will look good imo.

Link in sig below if you want a look.

Thanks for the replies.

Have to say Gary thats one fine looking Alfa.

Love the finish you've got at first I thought it was 2k..

I've been looking for a none 2k clear to try on my first car build in a good few years and think im going to have to give the one you have used a try.

Cheers Steven

Once you do a 2K clear and nail it, you get spoiled for shiny gorgeousness
A little tricky but it can be done well

My vote would be for Zero, the Splash doesn't go as far imo needing a lot more paint and you get less to begin with.

Oooh thats a nice tid bit of experience with these paints, I was leaning toward Splash for my yellows for my next build but likely to go for the Zero in this case, helps too as the Zero is more readily available this side of the pond.
