This is my finished F-117A Nighthawk.
Products used:
Kits
Tamiya 61059
CMK Detail Set (Wheelbays, Wheels, Bombbay and Cockpit)
Eduard PE Set
Eduard Remove Before Flight Set
New Ware Mask Set
Paint and Finish
Ultimate Primer
Mig Acrylics
AK Xtreme Metal
AK Glossy and Matte Varnish
Mig Panel Line Wash
AK Rainmarks
Thoughts:
This is a great Kit, it goes together well, and to be honest.. it would have been just as nice without the Resin. The goal for this model was not to build a black F-117.. so off i went to find reference-pictures!
Only the throttle stick and the covers over the instruments were scratched, but there's a lot of detail hidden in the kit that only needs a bit of work and proper references to show off. The masking, painting and weathering took up most of the time, and i'm still finding fingerprints and tape-residue everywhere on the model due to the excessive handling. I think the RAM effect with a hint of stressed skin and replaced panels turned out well, although the lighting blurrs out a lot of it. But my mission was accomplished.. the only things that are black on this model are the tires and parts of the cockpit
