Hello everyone, I finally managed to paint the body panels recently and I also did a quick dry fit to see how it looks and take some pictures. I also added some decals I initially missed in the interior and added some carbon fiber decal on the main back intake (no idea if that's how it's called). This car has so many interesting angles, it's really hard to pick the best picture to show it off.
P.S: I picked this pic because I know Dan enjoys the arse on this specific car )

Finished my three 1/24 Mazda wankel powered builds The 1st, The last and the Winner .Comprising of the Cosmo, RX8 and the 767B twentyfour hour race winner. Zero paints Mazda colours used and Zero Diamond 2 pack clearcoat used to finish.

New project this week is a Williams Renault FW19 F1 car
This car won the World F1 Driver Championship for Canadian Jacques Villeneuve and Constructor’s Title for Williams in 1997
Revell 1/24 kit, Ultimate blacks , body to be Tamiya decanted TS-15 and Ultimate white, likely paint the red/gold Rothmans livery and I have the additional Rothmans decals.
Cut open the engine cowling and attached 1mm magnets in opposing sides to let it click back into place

Almost done with the 1960's 1/24th scale VW samba bus, used some flocking for the carpeting and seat tops, tamiya and model master brush paints for interior and metal flake blue and pearlized green for the body.. I will use some nice 15's scale chrome wheels and tires from the spare parts bin because I don't like the stock V-dub rims and my other aftermarket 21's scale custom rims are too big to fit without drastic body work that I am not willing to dive into on this kit.

This week I've been progressing with my 1/35 Meng Jagdpanther. Aside from a self-inflicted acetone related incident with the rear deck the build has been going well. On the plus side following the aforementioned incident I'm happy to say that Meng customer service have been very responsive and helpful in the face of my overwhelming stupidity and a replacement sprue is on its way. The fighting compartment roof has been dry fitted so that the vision ports can be added once main painting is done.

Tonight we have a partially completed Qantas Airfix 1/144 Airbus A.300. The white is Tamiya Pure White, the red is Tamiya Italian Red, the leading edges are Taimya TS-83 (all decanted, of course) and the grey is my own Airbus grey. The decals are from Hawkeye and the fact that I’ve made a total balls-up of applying them is my fault, not theirs. Fortunately for me Hawkeye will have a stand down at Model Expo in Melbourne this weekend so I can get some replacements. I can also get from them the Australian Airlines decals for the A.300 in the background.

Keep smiling, even when you’ve completely stuffed up expensive decals.

* Sprayed in Tamiya Ts-16, decanted, thinned and through the Ultimate Apex Airbrush @ 20PSi
* Shunko Decals , laid down with Ultimate Decal Solutions
* Pro Range 2k Clear, 1 tack coat and two wet coats
* Wheels Sprayed in Tamiya Ts-14
* Flated with 12000 Micromesh
* Polished with Novus Compounds

This is the Beemax McLaren mp4/2 driven by Nikki Lauda.

I used beemax and hobby design upgrade parts for this build.
The car was painted with zero paints and zero 2k for the gloss coat.
Alclad paints were used for the metal parts and Alclad smoke was used to tone down the carbon fibre on the front of the monocoque.
This is a great kit that goes together well.

Below planes with their caddies. Catapults and crane. they will be mounted on my IJN Yamato in 1:700 scale. Kit and the photoetched extras made by PitRoad.

This is the Academy 1/35 AH-1Z, painted with AK real colors and weathered with oils,

1/32 Kittyhawk Bronco saga.... blah! Blah!

Don't have a scoobie where I got to last week but Ultimate mix of Dark Dirt and Concrete wash applied and removed panel by panel (inside only leaving the panel lines) with a cotton bud Cleared with Aqua Gloss and weathered with Abteilung oils - whatever colour and mix took my fancy (but mainly black/brown/yellow). Canopy masking started and there we go.

Managed to finish this Hobby Boss 1/48 Sukhio SU-27 Flanker this week. It's a pretty nice kit, only added a resin seat from Quickboost and some resin wheels that I 3d printed from a model I made. I'm not 100% happy with the finish, had some problems with the paint peeling when I removed the masking. But overall it was a fun build.
