Brush suggestion

Hi folks, I purchased a set of brushes off Amazon in Feb when I started back modeling.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075L ... UTF8&psc=1. One of the brushes I use all the time the 3/0 is starting to flare and come apart. I do clean the brush after every use. I normally use Tamiya Acrylic paint. I clean the brush with Tamiya X-20A. Wiping through till it is clean then store in my brush rack tip up. So any recommendations on a replacement type brush? I had to cut 2-3 bristles off this one today

oh boy, you are gonna get lots of advice on this topic
Something comfortable, something easy to get, synthetic bristles or spend the wad and get real sable hair bristles like a series 7 Windsor and Newton.
I usually go middle of the road, cheap and cheerful so to speak.
I am hard on my brushes and those sables are cute little creatures who deserve to keep their skin!

I figure I am hard on a brush if I have already worn out the bristles in 4 months

I get brushes suitable for oils that way if I mix them up I don't destroy my brushes and I can use them for both acrylic and solvent types

I use the cheap Tamiya brushes, then just chuck them when get beyond help.

First off, the brush cleaner that ForbesHutton posted is a must. I usually do a post-build clean with that stuff.
As far as the brushes go I like Princeton Select Artiste. You can pick them up in art supply stores or Michaels here in the States. Amazon sells them online as well. They aren't the cheapest but are way more affordable than W&N Series 7. I think they are nice enough to feel you are using a good tool, but not so expensive that you can't afford to bin a brush if you accidentally forget to clean it (for a month). If at all possible do as Digger suggested and keep the oil brushes and acrylic brushes separate (even if you use a multi-media brush). It helps when cleaning them.

Matthew, I will order the cleaner today and I have a couple meeting tomorrow and I will be near Michaels so I will pop in and give them a look for the brushes

Good advice especially with the brush cleaner.
My teen daughter is turning into an art snob and so gives me hell on cleaning/maintaining my brushes
Leave them flat to dry, use the goop shown above and the W/N liquid cleaner.
Sometimes she comes to my desk and cleans and points all my brushes for me

I realised sometime this week that my cheap tamiya small flat brush is actually better and more hardy than the more expensive brushes purchased subsequently so i agree with this
