With first test fitting the cockpit parts it appears to me to be a snap together kit is this the case has i have not built one of these kits before.

Yep - as far as I'm aware all the Bandai Star Wars kits are snap-fit but I've always used a touch of glue as well on all of my builds to reinforce the bond.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with this one as I have one lurking in my stash too.

Good choice love a tie fighter and bandai kits are very well engineered to be an excellent fit but I use glue just as reinforcement

Right here we go
The cockpit has been built and the inside has been primed in Ultimate grey primer and painted with Tamiya xf-66 light grey and once dried the stickers were added.





The figure was primed in Ultimate black primer and painted in mr hobby h-2 black with chrome silver x-11 detail



This was then put together and the outer hull was added.















Then primed in the grey primer and painted in the xf-66 light grey.
Then i painted a couple of the parts in xf-53 neutral grey but this was not a dark enough contrast so in the end i used xf-63 german grey.





To finish this section i primed the solar panels in the black primer and then i thought i would paint these in revell 09 anthracite which i had already thinned from a previous build ( waste not want not)
