Hi Dan & ISM Crew
I finished the SC430 for Paul's and Sam's GT group build:
*Tamiya 1/24 Open Interface Tom's SC430
*Primed with Ultimate white
*sprayed with zero mica silver and red
*Decals laid down with Ultimate decal solutions
*Cleared with PRO Range 2k (all with Ultimate Apex)
*Some bits of photoetch used here and there.

Typical Tamiya very nice kit, a few mistakes here and there but onwards and upwards. Thanks for looking.

Finished the revell 1/72 Type IX C/40 U-boat, it’s got a scratch built pressure hull, not sure it was worth the effort, a big Ed PE set and scratch built brass railings. Painted using Tamiya paints and weathered using AK weathering products , oil paint and water colour pencils.
Still to make a base for it then find somewhere to put it.
A long build but worth the effort

Good evening happy modellers!

This evening’s offering is in the mighty scale of 1/72 (in comparison to 1/144 anyhow). It is a Bloch 153 fighter constructed from parts of the RS Models Bloch 152 and the HM Models Bloch 153, which is a dreadful kit but has the parts needed to convert a Bloch 152 into a 153. The overall colour is Tamiya AS-12 and the decals are from my spares box.

Behind it is a Eastern Express 1/144 Boeing 757-200 (a truly dreadful kit) waiting for its final coat of Tamiya Pure White before moving onto decaling.

1/32 Tamiya F-16CJ Fighting Falcon but based on a F-16CM-40-CF 88-0413 - Finished (ish)

Started this one way back in late May 2018 - slow eh? Had a visit at Lossie by the USAF 510th Fighter Squadron/ 31st Fighter Wing from Aviano in Italy - primarily to fly with and deploy drones at the big missile range at Benbecula on North Uist (West coast of Scotland) and wanted to replicate an actual aircraft. Turned into a cross between a few airframes - yes the strengthening plates are missing, yes I know the intake is not painted grey (one aircraft had it replaced just before deployment) and yes there are loads of other mistakes but...... it's really a test bed for when I do another one

Primed in Ultimate Grey
MRP and Tamiya paints to finish
Ultimate Washes (various)
Alclad Aqua Gloss
Abteilung 502 oils
Astra Decals
Master pitot tube, AoA indicators and static dischargers.
A shed load of help from all in the hangouts (as important as any materials used).

Apologies for the long description Dan ;-)

Hi Dan, this week I finally finished my 1/24 Tamiya Ferrari F40 for the Ferrari buddy build.

A real mojo killer this kit as its so old and nothing really fits right. So it needed a lot of sanding, chopping, cutting and manhandling to get it to look half decent. Still I'm glad its finished and off the bench and I got a pretty decent result.

Some of the things I used were,

Ultimate Primers, Gelb for the main body, black and white elsewhere.
Zero Paints Rosso Corsa 300 for the red and Semi Gloss Black for the Black.
Splask 2K for the clear coat.
AK Xtreme metals for the wheels and engine etc.
Zero textured red and carcoal, scale motorsport carbon fiber for the interior.
Micro mesh, novus polish and tamiya wax.
Shed loads of Aizu and Tamiya tape.
Ultimate Apex used throughout.

Have a great show and a wonderful weekend everyone :cheers2:
