Hasegawa Honda Civic Sir 2

Have this kit a while and was way back along in the stash. Said id give it a start..


All parts were taken off the sprue and cleaned up accordingly. Various sanding sticks and sheets.




The front window frame had been cracked from first purchase so a little glue was needed to mend this. Not overly noticeable at present. Seems to have been an issue from what i gather. Have 2 more similar in stash and no issues though. Good tester car.

Since the sun was out at the weekend, i was able to get a good blast of the paint work sprayed outside. Dont have a full vent system as of yet. Still wore the mask due to the zero paints and the like.

Had originally thought about doing a Spoon Yellow type replica, as have the zero paints equivalent, but after a coat or 2 it started to melt the plastic. Scrapped that.

Hence where the Vallejo orange comes in. Not youre airbrush type they make but added a few drops of water and it went on fine. Maybe not correct, but thats what came to mind. The orange peel and some distortion is from where the original paint had started to react with the body. Sanded and cleared as much as i could off, but had made the sheel fierce weak.



As can be seen from the above picture, had a choice of original wheels (front) or nismo wheels with brembo brake discs (back). Did like the look of the back type wheels and was going to proceed when i remembered this set below. Fujimi xr4 longchamps. Wide dish and stretched tyres. Since the build was going a different way, thinking i will go with these.


At the moment thats where it stands, busy for the next week or so, but will hopefully get some of the chassis painted up at the weekend.

Any suggestions on how i could make the Vallejo Orange shine, thinking the zero 2k will eat into it?

Seems that all the images can be flicked left or right by the arrows. Not sure what o done.. any suggestions and I will change this.

Have no idea how to change the images you've uploaded, but I like where this kit is going.

Not sure on the picture, but there has to be some preferences on the Flicker upload you set or can set to change this.
