Hello, hello - anybody there......

Small progress on the 1/32 Tamiya F-14A Tomcat.

Fuselage double glued and caverns filled with sprue glue - note that the cockpit is just dry fitted. Undercarriage done and dangly bits glued and part sanded. Apologies to those with OCD but I couldn't resist it

Ey Up Dan (Or your interweb stand-in)
I have pretty much finished this now, the Academy 1/72 scale P-47D Thunderbolt. I got it cheap 2nd hand from a club-mate along with a resin engine, so that has been used. The rest is out of box. The decals were a nightmare, I had to coat them with liquid decal film just to stop them breaking up when they hit the water, but they were still really brittle and didn't settle in to details at all well. Anyway, made the best I could of them, touching up the breakages and replacing from the spares box when possible. Painted with AK Extreme, Polished Aluminium with some touches of Aluminium, Dark Aluminium & White Aluminium to break up the flatness. Mr Hobby Interior Green was used for the cockpit, Olive Drab for the anti-glare and Tamiya yellow-green for the wheel wells.

Good evening happy modellers?

For a change, here is a Flyhawk 1/72 Renault FT 75 BS, ready to go off for priming. Little tank, big box. (You do get two kits in the box but I seriously doubt that anybody needs more than one model of a FT 75 BS.)

Actually, this is the best Renault FT kit I’ve made in this scale, except that it renewed my hate-affair with etch.

Hi Dan, this week I finished my 1/12 Fujimi Yamaha YZF750 Team Lucky Strike. It's been on and off the bench over the last couple of months so I'm pleased to finally get it done. The kit goes together really well but it's let down by horrible thick decals. The only way to get them down was to use Ultimate extra strong decal solution and the Mrs' hair dryer.

Ultimate White and Black Primers.
Tamiya TS-26 and TS-14.
AK Xtreme metal colours.
Splash 2K (old version).
Zero semi gloss black and textured black.
Ultimate extra strong decal solution and hair dryer.
Ultimate Apex used throughout.

Have a great show and a wonderful weekend everybody. :cheers2: Image

Had a few weeks without being able to get to the bench but this week I finally managed to put some paint on my 1/35 Meng Jagdpanther. Primed in Ultimate black, base coat was Model Air dark yellow which was then masked off with rolls of white-tac. Camo pattern was added with Model Air Light Olive and Armour Brown. The rust on the spare tracks was done with Life Colour's rust set.

This is my 1/48 Tamiya F-14D, it's a brilliant kit but it is a shame it doesn't have posable flaps and slats, painted with MRP Mr. Color and AK real colors, wethering is just a bit of oils.

Getting close to finishing the Hasegaweee 1/48 Royal Navy sea king, mainly decalling this week and finishing the undercarriage. This week is the fun part of weathering

I've been working on my Hasegawa 1:24 Ferrari 328 GTS this week

It’s been slow going on this build and unfortunately I won't finish tonight
  • Engine almost complete. Primered with Mr Surfacer 1500 black, sprayed the block in Splash Paints Aluminium Metalizer. The red is Tamiya Acrylic XF-7 Flat Red and Tamiya LP-21 Italian Red, with other parts in Tamiya X-31 Titanium Gold and X-18 Semi-Gloss Black. Will be adding a black panel line colour to add realism when complete and look to replace the red wires, plus add other detailing parts
  • Interior moving along, rear engine shelf painted in Tamiya LP-5 Semi-Gloss Black.
Still undecided on the clear to use for the body. I've tested Gravity Colors 2K clear and Mr Color GX112 UV Cut lacquer. I will test the Pro Range 2K and then decide.

Have a good show everyone :hi:
