Excellent Pascal, panel lines look great not too heavy and not too light and the matt finish is superb. What did you use for a dull coat?

Very nice, I love all the little extras. Such an unusual airframe, I'm surprised we don't see more of them.

WOW! Very nice! How can you guys make the model look so realistic after wash is a mystery to me...
Is that helmet after market product or was it in the kit?

Hi,
Thanks a lot guys
@EpoxySniffer: Thanks for the comments. I don't use dull coat. Just mat paint from various manufacturer applied with airbrush and "polished" with a soft clothe for the decals and to obtain a smooth satin final result.
Sometimes when decals are too glossy, I use microscale satin or mat finish.
@Paul & Daimyo: Helmet is a small work of art from Teknics made of brass. Even the inside is detailed

Beautiful finish! I like that the panel lines and weathering are clearly there, but not overdone. Most naval craft, especially if they weren't used in wartime, are kept in pretty good condition. They have to be kept clean since salt spray is destructive. I'd like to see some threads on how you did this.
Here's a picture of a Super Hornet on the flight deck. Notice it's not filthy and panel lines are not that visible.
F-18F paint.jpg
There's smudging in front of the wing which is where pilots would be climbing up to get into the cockpit, but notice under the wing how the panel lines and rivets are very subtle.
Notice too how shiny the "Stars and Bars" sticker is. I think it actually is a sticker.
I was also told by good sources that landing gear are white so hydraulic shock oil leaks are easily detected. Which is also why they're usually very clean.
