Video got me thinking about other sources which is great because styrene is very expensive at the local hobby shop.

I checked it out over the weekend. The local Dollar King store has some 1mm For Sale signs. I grabbed a couple. 8"x11" 1.00/ea. I'll be at Lowe's later this week and will let you know how much and how thick the signs are. But from the little test I did over the weekend, the 1mm for sale sign I got worked perfectly. Easy glue.

I also use those flat, non embossed plastic cards they send in the mail. Great for floors, walls or small areas.

Being where I am currently, I am unable to watch Youtube, I'll have to wait until I get home this evening to watch the video. I just thought I'd chime in with where I've obtained these "free" items. I too, will use the plastic "credit" cards that come in advertisements in the mail. I also found that some of the car retailers use plastic (styrene) sheets for the dealer name in the license plate frames. Unfortunately, the ones that come in the license plate frames aren't actually free, since they come standard with the purchase, usually several thousand dollars
Seriously though, on my new vehicle there were two of these sheets of material, one was fairly thin and the other was about twice as thick, roughly 1/16 inch (sorry, not sure the metric conversion of that)
