Hi everyone
I think I posted this question in the wrong section and got quarantined!
Can anyone recommend a clear varnish to use on a model that has Gloss, satin and Matt paint finishes?

Difficult question without knowing the kit. I think you would have to spray the small stuff (satin and matt) then mask the satin and matt when dry and spray the rest with a gloss. I use Alclad Aqua Gloss for gloss coats and Testors Dullcote for matt. For Satin I spray Aqua Gloss a little further from the model and thin coats to build up the sheen. That is how I do aircraft but I'm sure somebody will be along shortly to advise on different genres.

What al says ☝️Is solid advice if you can't have stinky testors dullcoat I find Windsor and Newton Matt coat is very good they have a gloss too but that has to be built up in thin coats to get a good shine but probably good for a nice satin also Aqua gloss is the daddy for a good solid gloss coat 👍🏻

All those finishes on one model? Wow... What is it?

I've tried most of the clear varnishes from most of the usual model paint suppliers, and they all do what they say on the tin. I don't really have any particular preference for a single product or manufacturer, although I do like dullcote and use this on the majority of AFV's that I've built.
