What lighting

Post by 1001kjk »

Hi all I hope to have a builder give me a basic shell from which to make my cave. I have asked for led panels in the ceiling can anyone recommend any. In addition I’d hope for eight sockets and what do you use for heat I won’t be able to attach the central heating from the house

Any windows proposed? If not the led strip lights are available but use a socket so my advice is to get eight DOUBLE sockets, some with USB sockets. I use a Dyson hot and cold fan but my cave is quite small - perhaps one of the electric oil-filled radiators will do and depending on size can be had for under £40.

Don't use the Chinese batten led lights....every second one has a problem. They put out a good light except they are prone to manufacturing faults....flickering and such.
If you can get the ones that are extendable ie.... they have a socket you can just push another one into and extend the overall length. Makes it easy to wire up and if one has a problem easy to replace.
Listen and appear wise

yes power supply is an essential thing to sort, i have only access to three double sockets and therefore have lots of extensions which isnt ideal and i wouldn't like to turn everything on and use it at the same time my house would probably fry. This is something i'm looking into improving however the work required is daunting.

Lighting is difficult i have a big double door next to my desk but the light is often dull and rainy therefore a good led spotlight is required i chose the lightcraft professional led task lamp after recommendations from others it was about £50/60 on amazon and the price changes a lot so worth looking at as it is a game changer.

All the best
i just like throwing paint at plastic and chilling at my desk
