Revell Ferrari Enzo 1/24 kit

Post by bigdave146 »

Hi everyone !

Has anyone made the Revell Enzo kit ? If so, whats the quality like ? I have been searching for the Enzo, but dont know whether to go for the Revell kit that seems alot cheaper than the Tamiya one !!

Thanks

Dave

Sorry Dave I haven’t got that one.
I know we have a good 1/12 Tamiya build on the forum if you search it

Cannot help either Dave. I opted for the FXX K by Tamiya over the Enzo. I looked at both Tamiya kits.

I have only built 6 kits so far with #7 waiting on seat belts to finish and #8 I just finished the body and starting the chassis. IMHO Tamiya, Revel then AMT in cars.
4 of the cars I built are Tamiya+ #8. #7 is Revel.

Hi Dave. I havent built the tamiya Enzo but i have built the Revel one and the tamiya FXX, la ferrari and FXX-K. The detail is a bit lacking and soft on the Revel kit but it does look absolutly fine when built and painted.
If money is not an issue the tamiya kit is a much more enjoyable build as the quality and fit is just superb.
Money is'nt everything but it sure keep's the kid's in touch.

Hi Dave,

I built the Revell Enzo earlier this year. In all honesty I thought it was fairly poor. In particular getting the exhaust box and pipes fitted was a complete nightmare, ridiculous way they chose to have it go together.

I've now sworn off Revell kits after building this and the Tornado GR3, go for the Tamiya version, you won't regret it.

Cheers,

Yes do, it will be worth it in the long run
Just keep an eye on eBay, might find a deal and can access the prices so you know when to pull the trigger
