Decal Madness

Hi everyone.
I am struggling with the Academy 1/72 F-15C MSIP build, I am now down to the decals and I am sorry to say that they are as parlous as the kit itself.
I have been away from the hobby for a long time but have not forgotten everything when it comes to building a kit but Academy should be ashamed of themselves for putting kits on the shelf such as this!
Please could anyone give me directions for aftermarket decals to support this build as the Academy ones are terrible. my previous posts concern the cockpit decals which were awful, thick, unwieldly and would not go down even using Mr Mark Setter/Softer, Solvaset, Micro Sol/Micro Set.....
I have been on the Hannants website which is about as easy to navigate as the Da Vinci code or Fermats last theorem, so please don't tell me to go to them as I've tried. I been to various other forums to see whether Cartograf are worth it and I have found that these also have a terrible reputation.
At the moment if I can't get the decals then the Academy kit goes in the bin and I go to my stash for a Tamiya kit which I know are reliable/enjoyable/professional etc.....To do this would be a fail and I don't want my first kit to go in the bin.
