Hi. What in your opinion are the best paints to brush with. Tamiya are a nightmare to brush with, I've heard that Tamyia Acyrillic Retarder is good but finding that in the UK is not easy. So in your opinion what paints are the best to go with?

Thanks in advance.

I do all my brush painting with Vallejo Model Color. So personally I'd recommend them. I've also heard good things about citadel.

Also can depend on what you're wanting to brush paint as well. Usually if it's with figures, people use oil/enamal paints as they take longer to dry and can be blended easily

A lot of the Vallejo Color line is more suited for military models I have noticed. Which then again is what I do so I wouldn't know much about the more bright/gloss type colors.

What Do you think will be better Tamiya Acrylic Retarder or Mr Leveling Thinner? I see Tamiya sell a Lacquer Retarder but i dont think its suitable to use with the Tamiya X & XF paints.

Retarder for brush painting as it slows the paint from skinning. Mr leveling thinner will dry fast.
