Good start! I don't think I saw if you mentioned what the base kit is.

Yes very sweet project
I am guessing a Revell base kit??
I have the Revell Raynard kit and Indycal decals to make ‘95 Jacques Villeneuve’s Indy winning car

Guessing so too! Would like to get my hands on one eventually. A lot of memories of my pops taking me out to CART at Road America when I was little.

Thank you all for the great comments, the base kit is the a Tamiya Lola Indycar the T93/00 and being the road course version which was the Mansell car. There were a few changes between the 93 & 94 shapes but I’m just going to paint it up as per the media day car.

Oh man that’s cheating using a decent kit like a Tamiya
Man AMT or Revell is all I found
Good luck with the build

Is that Tamiya the snap kit? I don't know much about it!

It most certainly is the snap kit by Tamiya.

Well the holidays are over and a new job, so a poor excuse but my small brain is not focusing well on all the new work info and then trying to settle into some model time. But this one has taken so long now, no need to rush it...
I got into the tyres and wheels. Wheels were painted with Tamiya TS6 Flat Black and then TS29 Semi Gloss Black, tyres were sanded and then washed and placed onto the wheels. I then went and applied the rub on lettering, which i am not a great fan of, but luckily all went well. I will eventually do some extra detailing and possibly tone them down with the weathering kit.

Looks great!! And those decals should only be about 15 years old.
Digging that blue on the front portion - can't wait for more updates [but understand I will have to wait
