Problems with Tamiya 7.5Cm Antitank Gun 1/35

Post by Peter1512 »

I am building the Tamiya 1/35 antitank gun PAK40/L46
I have completed the build but cannot work out how to mount the barrel, muzzle brake and saddle onto the trail base
There is a curved extension underneath the muzzle brake which is preventing the saddle from engaging into the hole in the trail base
Could anyone help please, I am sure there is a simple solution

Hi Peter,

If you can post some pictures that might help people to come up with an answer......
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

It has been a while since I built my PaK 40 from Tamiya. Try to tilt the barrel assembly forwards, sliding the curved piece under the trail body before tilting it back up, engaging the peg into the hole of the trail base. It may require some force since I think Tamiya designed this to make sure the barrel assembly doesn't drop off the trail base if you turn it upside down by accident.

There's always armour on my work bench.
